30th of October in The Atrium on the Wintec Hamilton City Campus for our 2025 Waikato Gala Dinner and Auction.
Get ready for a fun night out and help us raise $150,000+ to support our special team of research scientists – OUR ‘Cure Collective’.
Our goal is to fund a powerhouse band of six dedicated researchers at the Centre for Brain Research, University of Auckland: two neurobiologists, two medicinal chemists and two neuropharmacologists.
We are halfway there, but funding the full team and their research expenses will cost us almost $1M per year. Your support of our fundraising events helps ensure they can
work continuously and collaboratively to find a cure for Parkinson’s disease.
Hear about Cure Parkinson’s NZ-funded research that’s made history with the first-ever 3D visualisation of human olfaction and our team’s plans to develop new therapies that can stop or slow disease progression.

- $2,000 = Develop an antibody to target Parkinson’s-related proteins.
- $5,000 = Conduct a drug screen to test treatments.
- $10,000 = Synthesise a small-molecule drug.
- $30,000 = Annual research costs.
- $100,000 = Sustain a researcher for a year.
